Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law

Prisma Electronics, the Greek company that innovates, is proud to have supported and participated in the presentation of the collective volume:"Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law", edited by Dr Evripidis Stylianidis- Ευριπίδης Στυλιανίδης, Associate Professor of Law at the European University of Cyprus and Member of the Hellenic Parliament.

The event took place on Wednesday 8 October at the Athens Conservatoire, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Nikitas Kaklamanis, and in the presence of the Prime Minister of Greece, ministers, members of parliament, academics, business representatives and a large audience.

Prisma Electronics contributed to the dialogue by presenting the perspective of a Greek deep-tech company pioneering artificial intelligence applications. The company presented how the Laros system uses data collected from vessels and critical infrastructures to achieve:

  • higher operational efficiency,
  • reduced environmental and energy footprint;
  • predictive insight into the availability of assets and human resources.

This event marked the beginning of a national dialogue on artificial intelligence, its legal implications and its impact on democracy and human rights.

Prisma Electronics continues to invest in responsible and trustworthy AI models, emphasising the importance of transparency and traceability mechanisms for algorithmically generated information.

We would like to thank Dr Evripidis Stylianidis- Ευριπίδης Στυλιανίδης for this remarkable initiative and all the contributors for making the event so inspiring and insightful.

Responsible artificial intelligence is not just about technology — it is a commitment to a fair, human-centred future.
