Dimitra-Marina Giordamli at the International Maritime Conference

Dimitra-Marina Giordamli, Corporate Affairs at Prisma Electronics S.A., participated in the International Maritime Conference, joining the panel “Maritime Innovation as a Growth Engine – Sustainability, Economic Development & Port Competitiveness”.

Alongside representatives from the maritime industry, ports and academia, the discussion explored how technological advancements are already influencing the way the sector approaches sustainability, operational efficiency and competitiveness.

From Prisma Electronics’ perspective, particular emphasis was placed on the practical use of data. Data collection is now only one part of the equation; the real value lies in transforming data into meaningful insights that enable a better understanding of vessel operations, support informed decision-making and facilitate the monitoring of environmental performance.

The discussion also addressed a broader challenge for the maritime sector: how technological progress can advance alongside increasing environmental requirements, while keeping the operational and economic realities of shipping firmly in focus.
